Anushka Shetty is an Indian film actress, who works mainly in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. Born in Mangalore, Anushka started her career as a Yoga instructor. It was while teaching Yoga, she got an offer to act in films.
Rudhramadevi is a 2015 Indian Telugu 3D historical film based on the life of Rudrama Devi one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. The film scripted, directed by Gunasekhar, and narrated by Chiranjeevi, features Anushka Shetty as Rudrama Devi, alongside an ensemble cast of Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa.
